So basically, this sixteen year old girl didn't wear panties to school on picture day so her panty line wouldn't show... and now there's a picture of her in her school's yearbook that apparently shows her downstairs, even though people aren't sure whether it's that or just a shadow.
Hmm... I'd rather have my panty line showing. Or I'd at least wear something else so I wouldn't risk flashing my cooch at the entire school.
So, what do you think? Should they stop handing out the yearbooks and republish them, or do you think the girl should just brush it off and go on with her life?
I think it would be a waste of time, money, and resources to get rid of the already published yearbooks and to publish new yearbooks without that picture. Chances are, if they'd just blow it off, it will be forgotten (or at least there won't be such a big buzz about it) later on in life. High school kids grow up, new events will be concentrated on, and it will all be just a memory that she can probably laugh about in twenty years... but, at this rate, they'll keep blowing it out of proportion and it will "haunt" her for even longer. If it happened to me... I'd laugh my ass off and joke around about it for years to come. XD Sensitive bitch. Call me heartless but that's my opinion... you've got yours, so tell us what you think. ;D

...Umn, I don't think that video was relevant to the topic, unless I just missed a third thing it would play? xD
However. ...Is this incident in a US school? Because... Well, then the chicks under aged and... if it's somehow managing to show her crotch... Isn't it... I dunno, sorta illegal to keep the photo in the published thing? I mean. Damn. I wouldn't doubt it that someone would sue over it. I mean. People sue over everything these days.
Either way, I would think it would be better top republish the book, sure, it'd be a waste of money but... I... don't think that photo would bring fond memories of High School or anything. I dunno. Just my view.
Then again, if it ends up being just the shadowing... That's pretty silly.
It's relevant. I think the first part is a commercial. xD You just have to sit through it 'til the actual report comes on. I double checked... it should be the right thing, haha.
Well, since they blur that part of the picture, I can't really tell if it looks more like a shadow or not... but if there's that much uncertainty over it, I don't really see why they can't play it off as a shadow. xD I'd only have a problem if you could REALLY distinguish what it is.

...Ah, I think the links just messing with me then, because before it was showing protesting budgets cuts in California. Now a chase.
..Damn you CNN. >:C
But oh, it's blurred? Well, yes, then I can see them managing to play it off.
...Wait, what was the girl wearing other then a lack of undies so that this would even be a problem?
: she was wearing a rather short, flimsy-looking green dress.
That's a huge waste to throw out those books and reprint them. She should've just worn underwear. even butt floss. and they keep saying "pitcher" instead of "picture".
Hmm. That's a tough one. On one hand, if that is what they think it is then it IS illegal and the school would be distributing pornography. On the other hand, some people believe that it's only a shadow. Also, pulling all the yearbooks and having to re-print them is expensive (but I guess probably less expensive than a lawsuit).
Not to be insensitive but she didn't wear underwear to school, and she was wearing a dress. She should stop dressin' like a hooka.
reprinting is out of the question. it costs thousands of dollars to put out a yearbook, which the school likely does not have. it also takes months, and the school year is almost over for most americans.
the school should just rip out the offending page on outgoing books and leave it at that.
Sickles High School--okay then.
Well, first of all, why did the yearbook editor even let it get through? Do they not look at pictures that closely?
Even if they do reprint the books, she'll still be know as 'That Crotch Girl'
Quoted for truth.
LOL @ 'Sickles High School'. Strange name. It sounds like a school for grim reapers.
And it's her own fault for not wearing panties. I mean, wearing a dress without ANYTHING underneath is just asking for trouble. Also, why didn't she even think to cross her legs? :/
That aside, I think re-printing the year books would be a waste of paper.
On the other hand, it's not fair for the girl. She's going to get a lot of crap for this.
I'm stuck. I'm not really sure what side I'm on.
That's why you should cross your legs. Or close them. Either way, I think that she should deal with it. It's not the school's fault, really. Unless they knew about the picture before it was published.

What about whoever was taking the photo? Wouldn't they have noticed and told her to do something about it?
Maybe she should have closed her legs. xD That girl may be humiliated now, but that's just ridiculous. A short dress without anything underneath, I'm surprised she wasn't raped or anything. O.o
It costs too much money to reprint the yearbooks, and if there's contreversey, chances are they'll just go with the "shadow" claim.
You know, I actually have nightmares that I forget to wear pants and/or underwear to school... I am always prepared so that will never happen to me. 😊
About the people taking the picture and the yearbook people...some things you just don't notice until its in print. I used to be co-editor on the activities section of my HS yearbook...we had editors or co-editors for every single main section (activities, sports, classes, sr's had a special section, so sr editors, all the miscellaneous stuff like events, plus an overall editor and assistant editor who went over everything at the end. Yearbooks are a shit tonne of work. You don't exactly have time to go over and look at the crotches in every single picture to make sure everyone is decent. That isn't your responsibility...it's the person who is in the picture.
If that school does something similar, and it was missed by the editors and photographer, chances are good it looks really similar to inconvenient shadows. It's not like they purposely used that picture, puh-lease. As much as the girl doesn't want that picture in there, I'm sure a fair number of people don't want to see it either. Just...go around and take a sharpie to every copy of something if it's THAT big of a deal to her.
Moral of the story is: wear underwear. And if you don't, don't be a dumb bitch about it and decide to wear a short flimsy dress. And cross your legs. If she thinks you can see her nether regions, even if she wore underwear you would've seen the underwear. Basically, she made all the wrong decisions and now she doesn't want to pay for them.
Well...she should've worn panties so this wouldn't have HAPPENED in the first place. It's her fault she's going to be ''haunted''. I think she should just suck it up. And, as another mentioned, it's high school and will be forgotten in the long run.
That should teach her not to go commando on 'pitcher' day.
Seriously, you're sitting down! Who the hell is gonna care about your panty-line? It's better than being known as the girl who left her vajayjay open in a picture.
I think she deserved it a little. I mean, come on, just look at the length (or lack thereof) of that dress she had on!
this is why girls shouldnt shave their pootytang - she could have just said she was wearing brown panties or whatever.
...My favorite part is that the girl is wearing really short shorts.
|:
Girl should learn from Paris Hilton+Britney Spears+Lindsay Lohan. Dresses+pictures usually mean exposure!
i laughed. honestly did. who the hell wears that short of clothes without any crotch protection? Lol @ her.
I got your back Jack, bitches be crazy.
WTH. Who wears dresses that short without wearing panties? Even a thong.. and it's not that tight, she wouldn't have had panty lines anyway :/
Anyway. If they want them all republished, I think the girl/her parents should have to pay for it.
Or, you know, go with the shadow thing and all.
